Rimmel Match Perfection review..

I've been wanting this foundation for a little while now, I've seen a good handful of bloggers reviewing it and singing it's praises. I knew, from what they've all said it would be perfect for me.. and I wasn't wrong!

It was just a normal Tuesday afternoon and I decided to my online Asda shop, and whilst doing so I thought I'd get myself some new hair products and have a browse in the beauty category and that's when I spotted 'Rimmel Match Perfection'... for only £5!
Obviously I almost choked on my tea at it only being a fiver, (considering the lowest I think I've seen it elsewhere was about £6.99?) and theoretically threw it into my online shopping basket.

So anyway, as soon as it arrived I decided I needed to try it RIGHT THEN. (And, of course, I did ;) )

As you can see, it comes in a sleek little glass bottle, which I actually love. I know glass is breakable, but I much prefer it to the squeezey tubes of foundation, I tend to lend on them or they get squashed in my make up bag and can leak everywhere!
This is a pump bottle, and its great because it doesn't seem to push the foundation out too fast, despite it being rather watery. It's good  because it minimises the wastage. Nothing worse than having a lump of left over foundation when you've done your face!

I chose the colour 'Ivory' shade 100, because I've gone very pale since winter's come, and I've been struggling to get any foundation that doesn't make me go orange or give me dry patches all over my face. As you can see on my hand, once rubbed in it looked slightly orange tinted, but it certainly evened out on my face and was't orange at all :).

(excuse my crazy face, I can't take serious pictures!)
As you can see on my cheek close up, there was a spot covered up which was really red before hand, the foundation covered it quite well for what it was, I think! (BTW the 'top' spot is actually a freckle so ignore that haha)

It's quite watery, I personally love that and think that it's a bonus because it is a lot easier to blend. My pet hate is foundation that dries before you've got chance to smooth it all out, which gives you an uneven coloured face.
The coverage of this was also fab, I didn't do a before picture of my face with this (which i really probably should have, sorry!) but as you can see on my hand, it really gave my skin a smooth and even tone, covered all redness, blemishes and spots!
On the bottle it states that it is SPF 18, now I know that doesn't mean much right now considering it's so dull, dark and snowy outside lately, but come summer time it's brilliant. I've definitely found my new favourite foundation, I'm really impressed with it.. lets just hope when it does get to summer, this foundation holds up well in the heat. That'd make it a complete winner!

Anyone else tried this?

Liebster Award..

So the lovely Chloe at Very Lovely Stuff nominated me for one of these awards :) she's seriously made my day so thank you!

Basically, the Liebster Award is for bloggers that have less than 200 followers.
All you have to do it nominate 11 other bloggers that meet the criteria, then list 11 facts about yourself, answer the 11 questions from the person you were nominated by, and then lastly, come up with another 11 questions for the people you nominate.
And make sure you tell them you nominated them :)
Easy!

So first of all i will tell you 11 things about me.. (I'm a bit boring, sorry!)

1) I'm ambidextrous, though I tend to favour my left hand for writing and drawing.
2) I was pregnant at 16.. twice! (Don't judge me.)
3) I love animals which means I treat my cat and my little Chihuahua as my babies, they're like mini humans!
4) I have an obsession with dying my hair, I genuinely think I am addicted! At one point, I was doing it every 2 weeks. Eeek!
5) I am obsessed with Nicki Minaj, I don't think I could even tell you how much, in just one sentence!
6) I've been a vegetarian for about 8 years now, but I'm bad because sometimes when I go out and have a drink, I eat meat! But other than that, I'm a terribly picky eater.
7) I love my own company, being around people too much tends to irritate me.
8) I'm scared of getting my hair cut, it freaks me out and I never get it cut because I am afraid I'll hate it. I went 16 months with no cutting last time, and now its been about 6 months again. I know it needs cutting but I dread it!
9) I love spicy hot things. I'd have hot sauce on every meal if I could, sometimes I even crave random foods with chillies on them.
10) I'm on my 6th or 7th phone in 2 years now because I always break and lose them, I'm terrible.
11)  I don't own any trainers.. or converse or vans! I just wear flats.

*See, told you I was boring!*

My questions from Chloe:

1) What are you wearing right now? - Slouchy clothes, some Aztec leggings (that match my little sisters ;) ) a plain black 3/4 sleeve top and a grey waterfall cardigan.

2) What is your Holy Grail product? - It has to be Aussie hair conditioners. When don't use them I can totally feel the difference in my hair. It's quite annoying because I love trying new products, but my hair is just so thick and wavy, nothing seems to tame it or keep it in good condition like Aussie does.

3) Describe your skin care routine - Wash with pure water, cleanse and tone in the morning before my make-up, and maybe baby lotion if its feeling a little dry. Same in the evening too :). Some days I'll do a face mask and I tend to use a face scrub or mud mask in the bath too.

4) Plain nails or decorated? - I'd prefer decorated every single day if I could, but for some reason plain and block colours tend to suit me a lot more, so generally I just paint them one colour, with maybe my ring fingers different for something a bit 'extra'.

5) What is your favourite make up brand? - This is a hard one! I have my favourite products from different brands. At the moment though I am loving all my MUA things.

6) What was the last book you read? - I'm currently reading one called 'Sickened' its a bit of a sad one but I am only 1/4 way though so I am not 100% sure what its about just yet.

7) What were the last three things you bought? - Well I just got a mini haul from Topshop it included 5 things sooooo, a mini diary, some nail varnish and wraps and a make up palette.

8) Favourite dinner? - This is a toss up between three BUT I'll have to go with a 'Sunday dinner'. I love my veggies and mash!

9) What's your favourite TV show? - Considering I've never missed an episode in at least 6 years, it'll have to be Hollyoaks. The cheesy story lines and bad acting has got me hooked!

10) What is your dream job? - I would love to be a midwife, but I have a fear of blood meaning it would be impossible for me. So that's all it'll ever have to be.. 'a dream'.

11) Who is your role model? - Got to say Nicki Minaj, because I just love her so much I could marry her!

Here are my questions:

1) How often do you paint your nails?
2) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
3) Pick one thing you hope to achieve this year.
4) Straight hair or curly hair?
5) If you had to pick just one item of make up to use on a desert island, what would it be?
6) Who is your favourite 'celeb' and why?
7) Hair products (including hot irons) or face products (including makeup)?
8) How would you describe yourself as a person?
9) Name three things, it could be anything, that makes you happy.
10) Favourite and least favourite song.
11) How did you get into blogging?

I nominate the following eleven bloggers, all their blogs are totally different and awesome, and I'm sure there will be 'something for everyone' to enjoy from them :)

My attempt at a fishtail plait..

Modelled by my beautiful daughter Harriet..

I'm really impressed with myself, it's taken me ages to have patience to attempt it properly after watching a good few YouTube videos and step-by-step online guides. But today it just clicked and this was the result!

It was actually so much easier than I had geared myself up for it to be, and she loves it which is a bonus!

I'm going to be doing it every day now to perfect it LOL!

My New Make-Up Arrived!

Yep, my MUA order arrived today! It felt like my birthday all over again ;)
I've never ripped a package open so quickly, after having barely any make up for ages, it was practically gold dust!

I wasn't going anywhere today so it felt like a waste to use it all right away, but i did have a little play with the eyeshadows and eyebrow kit LOL!

Here is my precious:
Lipsticks in shade 12 & 14 - Artiste Palette - Pro Brow kit - Face Primer - Eye Primer - Extreme Curl Mascara - Blonde Eyebrow Pencil - White and Black Eyeliner - Foundation brush.

Luckily (Can you say it's lucky to need your brows doing lol?) my eyebrows were due to be fixed up haha so I gave my Pro Brow kit a quick play and I really love it :) I didn't have much time so it's not the best picture (see below) but if I actually sat down a bit longer they could look amazing with that kit!
I also tested the mascara and a few of the colours from the Artist Palette.. so far so good!!
I already had my make up on for the day but I wiped it all off just so I could test haha.
Here's a before and after picture, mainly for the brows, but you can see the make up too.. ignore the random black bit in my eye, i didn't realise! (GRIM!)

I can't wait until tomorrow when i'll have a bit more time to try it all out properly!

Birthday Post!

So today is my birthday, (the big 2-0!) so I thought I would do a post to show you what I wore to celebrate!

I've had a really lovely chilled out day, spent with my kids and family, and even had a little tea party. It was really cute. I've really enjoyed myself!

I even received half of my parcels I'd ordered so it felt like I got a million presents haha!
I shall do another post of what I got either tonight or tomorrow :)!

First of all this, was my make up of the day:

I'm still waiting on my make up order, so I was a bit 'natural' today!
Was really hoping my MUA stuff would come so I could do 'Birthday Makeup' haha, but it didn't so I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow ;)!
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara - Lip plumping gloss Boohoo.com - Collection 2000 Naturally Matte Foundation
Laura Paige Liquid Eyeliner - Bourjois Bronzing Powder- Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

I got my order from Ever Ours that i posted about the other day, the stuff is gorgeous! I wore the shirt i got, today, but like i mentioned; i will do another post showing all of the things i got later on :)

This is what i wore today (excuse the moody face and mess!)

The necklace was part of the order too, I absolutely adore it! It's so so cute.
I also got my very first Models Own Nail Varnish today too, (yaaay!) It's in 'Garnet' which also happens to be my birthstone.. weird!

I felt so co-ordinating today and was so pleased with my new bits and bobs!
Will update with my purchases soon
